La terminología médica en francés , inglés y español: problemas que se derivan de la presencia del inglés como lingua franca de la comunicación científica a escala internacional.
In this article we try to emphasize the difficulties that characterize the translation of medical terminology, from French into Spanish, in a context where English is considered as the lingua franca within the Francophone and Hispanophone Scientific Communities. This particular situation of the English language determines the process of translating medical texts from French into Spanish, but also the adoption of strategies for the research and establishment of terinological equivalences in the target language, in this case, the Spanish language. The main objective is to highlight some particular elements that characterize medical translation – from French into Spanish, although those elements are not related to scientific criteria but to the relationships and influences between the Anglophone Scientific Community and all the other Scientific Communities, including the Francophone Scientific Community and the Hispanophone Scientific Community
