Abstract

The text gives a general account of the different views held on the problems of "ethno- national education" within the Russian society at present. The author starts with an examination of the historical development of ethnic groups as an evolutionary process, and differentiates between the dimensions of ethnicity, language and culture in his ensuing socio- political analysis.
