With ever increasing demand for high efficiency, the designers must use more and more precise methods to predict loss mechanisms. In order to obtain more accurate predictions regarding power ferrites, an automatic data curve extraction algorithm is presented. Based on context related image processing, the designer can read out specific data points or derive interpolated representations of the data of the material. In case of single solid lines, this extraction is done completely automatically.
