However, recent researches on Adaptive Cyclic Prefix (ACP) have been suggested instead of the existing fixed CP duration for changing Channel SNR. These strategies provide a better Quality of Service (QoS) and also enhances the performance of OFDM based WiMAX systems. Based on these strategies, an “error on the fly” correction based ACP has been proposed in this paper. The proposed method, accompanied by exhaustive simulation results, show its effectiveness by the improved Spectral Efficiency (SE) and better Signal strength for a typical WiMAX scenario under fast fading multipath channel conditions.
