One of them is based on the cultivation of seeds in sucrose solutions with high osmotic pressure to simulate physiological water deficit. By determining the percentage (%) of germinated seeds in solutions with high osmotic pressure, it is possible to determine the relative resistance of varieties to drought at the germination stage.
