Zusammenfassung
The bundled conductors in overhead lines can swing, with
the wind, in such a way that the distance between the
phases is reduced. Movement of this kind 11ay be caused by:
- Non-expansive oscillations in bundles due to
wind-turbulence in terms of space and time, and to
variations in the aerodynamic coefficients of the
bundle during the movement (buffeting);
- Expansive oscillations or galloping, due to the l.ltl
stable aerodynamic shapes that a bundle IMIY take on ur.~?r
certain conditions Cfor example, in .:.he prese:ice of ice).
Thii; paper, afte:- analyzing the physical phenomenon of
buffeting and defining a model for it, presents the
analytical methodology set up to examine the dynamic
behaviour of bundles subjected to such buffeting.
Comments are then made on the results obtained 'during
experiments carried out on a span of an energized 420-kV
line made up of triple bundles and subject to
oscillations due to buffeting.
Lastly, the aforementioned results are compared with the
theoretical data.
