Knowledge Networks Analysis

CoRR, (2013)

Abstract

We studied 30 selected real Knowledge Networks of organizations in terms of 41 relevant statistical indices from Graph Theory. For more comprehensive analysis we introduced 14 New Indices for Graph and Network Analysis. From the results of our computations we are able to identify the properties, the common features as well as the differences of the Knowledge Graphs and draw useful conclusions. Highlights from our analysis include: 1) there is no significant correlation between strategic Agents and popular Agents, 2) the analysis of directed networks should discriminate the incoming from the outgoing direction of links, 3) most of the Knowledge Graphs studied are not functioning optimally and 4) Structural interventions may improve the performance of raw Knowledge Graphs.
