Thermal Conductivity in One Dimensional Systems?

Abstract

The Fermi Pasta Ulam has attracted much interest in its failure to equipartition (low) energy startup states where the energy was confined to the mechanical linear modes. The differentiation of possible start up states to kinetic at these low energies and the ecctes of higher energies at initial startup are investigated: the results are significant. In addition, we have investigated the existence of the thermal conductivity in one dimensional systems, including the $beta$ Fermi Pasta Ulam model. The divergence is characterised by different exponents for the thermal conductivity for different systems.
