Abstract

Nanoparticles consists of organic and inorganic materials. Nanocrystals are aggregates of atoms that combine into a “cluster” and are pure drug crystals with sizes in the nanometer range stabilized or surrounded by a thin coating of surfactant. Todays nanocrystal formulation preparation method characterised as “bottom up” “top down” and “bottom up” spray drying methods. The majority of nanocrystal medicinal products are presently approved for oral ingestion and treatment of disorders other than cancer.
