Abstract
This article focuses on some of the implications of Heidegger's pragmatism for information technology analysis and
critique. I survey Heidegger's transformation of Enlightenment notions such as identity, proximity, community,
disembodiment, pattern, representation and utopia to the phenomenological concepts of Dasein, care, being-with,
corporality, praxis, disclosure and the not-yet. Each of these concepts return us to the issue of practice.
