The input variables used for the calculation are thr. mechanical characteristics or the spacer-dampers as measured in a laboratory, in addition lo the mechanical data of the concluctors, the tensite forces in the individual conductors and the energy input of the wind. The result or the calculation supplies information on the alternating bending strains at suspension points and clamps of the spar.cr-<lampers. In this way the proposed methorl offers a solid basis for determining the number and positioning of spacer-<lampers for a given bundled transmission line.
