The authors possess experience in the treatment of 31 patients who were operated on by a method suggested by A. M. Zhuravlev--osteomyoplasty of the root of the foot. The method removes all the components of the deformity and creates conditions preventing its recurrence. Study of the late-term results in postoperative follow-up periods of 6 months to 2 years shows the method to be much less injurious and more effective than the other methods of treatment and allow it to be recommended for application in specialized medical establishments for patients with ICP.
