Abstract

To date, there are limited data on clinical manifestations and perinatal outcomes following infection with COVID-19 during pregnancy or the postpartum period. There is no evidence that pregnant women have different signs and / or symptoms or are at higher risk of serious illness. There is still no evidence of mother-to-child transmission when infection develops in the third trimester, based on negative samples from amniotic fluid, cord blood, vaginal discharge, throat swabs of newborns, or breast milk.
