Am Mittwoch Abend hat eco, der Verband der deutschen Internetwirtschaft e.V., zum PollTalk geladen, um über Risiken und Nebenwirkungen des Leistungsschutzrechts für Presseverlage zu reden.
Für Siegfried Kauder, Vorsitzender des Rechtsausschuss des Bundestags, ist Entwurf zum besseren Verlegerschutz im Internet ein Taschenspielertrick. Es würden nur Gewinne von einem Konzern zu anderen übertragen.
Die deutschen Zeitungsverleger versuchen derzeit, ihren durch gesellschaftlichen Wandel verursachten Profitrückgang zu stoppen. Neben lauteren Lobby-Methoden setzt die Branche dabei vermehrt auf Protektionismus und Desinformation.
Derzeit bietet sich die seltene Gelegenheit, einmal unter die Motorhaube des Text-Verwertungsbetriebes zu schauen und die dortigen Ränkespiele zu beobachten bzw. auch im Nachhinein zu rekonstruieren. Ermöglicht wird das durch ein (nicht rechtsrkäftiges aber lesenswertes) Urteil des Landgerichts München I und eine daraus entstandene Debatte …
Der Deutsche Journalisten-Verband lehnt den Referentenentwurf des Bundesjustizministeriums zum Leistungsschutzrecht für Presseverlage in der vorliegenden Form ab – es gibt erheblichen Nachbesserungsbedarf.
Freie Journalisten sollen von Leistungsschutzabgaben freigestellt werden. Wie nun zeigt, könnte das gar nicht so einfach werden - weil die Berufsbezeichnung nicht geschützt ist.
Ein Leistungsschutzrecht soll den Verlegern endlich Geld für ihre Internet-Veröffentlichungen in die Kassen spülen. Quasi automatisch. Was bringt’s? Wer zahlt’s? Wem nutzt’s? Der journalist hat sich auf Interessensuche gemacht. (Timo Rieg)
