This book examines the history of African urbanism, urban spaces and its complexities. The book takes us on a historical journey of the emergence of African cities around the Nile valley pre-colonial and post colonial times to the city of Jackals (Mogadishu), social, economic, cultural, religious, ethnic conflict issues and challenges of African urban spaces.
