EXKLUSIV / Der EU-Kommission steht ein ernsthafter Gerichtsstreit bevor. Der Vorwurf: Geheimhaltung eines Rechtsgutachtens zu der Frage, ob die Klausel zu Investor-Staat-Schiedsverfahren (ISDS) in den Entwürfen von CETA und TTIP illegal ist. Vor drei Wochen kündigte Bundestagspräsident Norbert Lammert (CDU) "uneingeschränkten Zugang" zu Verhandlungsdokumenten zum Freihandelsabkommen TTIP auch für Abgeordnete des Bundestags an - doch Einblick in die Unterlagen nehmen können die Parlamentarier noch immer nicht.
Das Verhandlungsmandat für das europäisch-kanadische Freihandelsabkommen CETA bleibt Verschlusssache. Auf Anfrage der Verbraucherorganisation foodwatch lehnten sowohl das Bundeswirtschaftsministerium als auch die Europäische Kommission und der Europäische Rat die Veröffentlichung des Dokuments ab. Im Zuge der Debatte über das Freihandelsabkommen TTIP zwischen EU und USA hatten sich alle Akteure für mehr Transparenz ausgesprochen
Die Bundesregierung fordert die EU-Kommission auf, ihre neue Geheimhaltung beim Freihandelsabkommen TTIP rückgängig zu machen. In einem Brief an EU-Handelskommissarin Cecilia Malmström nennt Bundeswirtschaftsminister Sigmar Gabriel (SPD) die jüngste Entscheidung der Kommission "einen sehr bedauerlichen Rückschritt" in den "gemeinsamen Bemühungen um größtmögliche Transparenz".
Die EU-Handelskommissarin Cecilia Malmström will künftig "umfassene Berichte" über die TTIP-Verhandlungen veröffenltichen.
Erst vorige Woche war bekannt geworden, dass Malmström einen Bericht über die Verhandlung zur Verschlusssache erklären ließ.
Auch Bundeswirtschaftsminister Gabriel hatte sich darüber beschwert.
