On 14th March 2013, Teach First hosted an event, introduced and attended
throughout by the Secretary of State, Michael Gove, to launch ‘a new vision for
evidence-based practice in education and teaching’.
The aim of this event was to allow Ben Goldacre, medic, academic and journalist to
share his thinking on ‘Building Evidence into Education’ with a selected audience
from across the education sector. Ian Menter, BERA Vice President, and I were
invited and the following are some notes and reflections on what we heard. Ian’s
thoughts will soon be published and linked to here.
