In this study, a potential manned Mars base, scheduled to the year 2030, has been studied by a group of students within a course for the development of planetary bases. It contains analysis on objectives, requirements, simulations and the design of a future moon base including considerations on construction, life support, environmental conditions, power supply, communications, in situ resource utilization and surface transportation.
