In the paper a method of calculation of
currents and potentials excited along on
underground conductor by earth-fault current
in an overhead a-c transmission line
is presented.
The electrical effects of short-circuit
current on an unrl.erground conductor are
obtained by the total effects resulting
from the conductive and inductive couplings
between the underground conductor and the
power line. ·
In the uaper an analytical method to determine
the magnitude and distribution of
the earth-fault current and potentials in
power lines is presented.
