The approximate equations for calculation
of the ACSR conductor temperature in
real weather conditions has been presented.
The risk of vertical.clearance lower
than design value as factor which influences
thermal rating of ACSR conductor
has been studied. The following factors
have been taken into account: the probability
distributions of service and fault
currents and the probability distributions
of weather factors. Also the loss of tensile
strength and the creep of conductor
arising from the probability distribution
of conductor temperature (within the whole
lifetime) have been taken into account.
The.analysis has been executed for
selected 110 kV overhead line with 240/40
ACSR conductors1.
For comparison, the influence of design
temperature change on the thermal rating
of the overhead line has been presented.
