Abstract

The paper presents the results of mass measurements of radio and television interference from a 750 kV line. As a result of comparison between the values recommended by the rules and RI measurement data permissible electric 1'ield gradients on the surface of 750 kV line conductors have been obtained. Peak and quasi-peak values of TVI intencity were measured and relationships between them defined. For the 30-700 MHz frequency range the law of TVI attenuation with increasing distance from the line was determined and frequency spectra from various interference sources were found. TVI levels from gap discharge were observed to be maximum in fair weather, and from corona on conductors - in heavy precipitation. Integral curves of interference distribution were obtained basing upon the results of statistical measurements. The measurements at high frequences permit to detect 11noisy11 towers generating the higher levels of interference from gap discharges on fittings and insulators. The 750 kV line designs with different conductors and loss levels, meeting the requirements of RI and TVI limitation, are considered. The advantages of 5-conductors bundle design are demonstr~ted.
