Abstract
For an open landscape with little farms
and houses in the north of the Netherlands
an 123-kV transmission line should
be designed. There were made high demands
upon the visual impact of the line in
this landscape. For this reason it was
necessary to design a clean structure
also in detail. Therefore the number and
the size of the shape determining elements
should be as low as possible.
The result is a line with poles with
hexagonal steel sections and a support
shape with double circuit vertical formation.
Conductors are used with a stress
of 55N/mm2 at 10° conductor temperature,
so that the mid span sag is as small as
possible and with that the impact of the
line in the environment.
A 123/12 kV substation is positioned
around a pole in this line, In this
way it is more clear that the substation is
a part of the line.
