Abstract
the study aimed to describe the Islamic studies as multiculturalism of phenomenological studies in Muhammadiyah Organization. The contemporary religious of education that to face the challenge of religious multiculturalism it is necessary, to change the model of religious education and beyond the wall. The study is done by using the qualitative approach with the phenomenological paradigm. The main data was obtained through the interviews, observation, and documentation. The result showed that two models are compatible to be applied in the world multiculturalism in order to face the challenge of multiculturalism because both of them help students to accept, respect, and value religious differences. The basic beliefs were implanted that Islamic studies is blessing for all.
