Abstract
Carbamoyl phosphate synthase 1 (CPS1) is a key gene in the first step of urea cycle. A functional single nucleotide polymorphism C/A has been reported to be associated with high levels of homocysteine. Increase in the homocysteine levels result to increase in hypertension most especially among the aged. This study, thus investigated the association of CPS1 (rs1047891) with primary hypertension with reference to a global simulated data.
