Österreich: Eine neue Plattform unterschiedlicher NGOs will nicht weiter nur gegen schrankenlosen Freihandel werben, sondern auch Alternativen ansprechen.
In ihrer jetzigen Form verstärken die Handelsabkommen Lohndumping, Vorteile für große Konzerne und die Privatisierung des Sozialstaates, sagt der Landeshauptmann des Burgenlands.
Seit 2014 haben mehr als 60 Organisationen im Rahmen des Bündnisses „TTIP STOPPEN“ gegen TTIP, CETA und TiSA gekämpft. Gemeinsam gelang es, Bewusstsein für die Probleme des Handelsabkommens CETA zu schaffen, der EU-Kommission Steine in den Weg zu legen und TTIP vorerst zu verhindern. Doch EU-Regierungen und Kommission treiben die neoliberale Handelsagenda mit Abkommen wie EU-Japan, EU-Mercorsur und EU-Singapur unverändert voran. Ein internationaler Konzerngerichtshofs steht weiterhin auf der Agenda.
2014 haben Attac, Via Campesina, die PRO-GE, GLOBAL 2000 und Südwind gemeinsam die Plattform TTIP STOPPEN initiiert. Gemeinsam mit über 60 PartnerInnen in Österreich sowie weiteren in Europa, den USA und Kanada wurde gegen TTIP, CETA und TiSA gekämpft, gelang es CETA und der EU-Kommission Steine in den Weg zu legen und TTIP vorerst zu verhindern. Der handelspolitische Teil von CETA konnte nur mit großen Schwierigkeiten ratifiziert werden. Die Sonderklagerechte für Konzerne jedoch müssen erst durch 38 nationale und regionale Parlamente ratifiziert werden. Damit bleibt die Chance CETA zu stoppen intakt.
Mit einer Generaldebatte hat der Verfassungsausschuss des Nationalrats die Beratungen über das Volksbegehren gegen die Freihandelsabkommen CETA und TTIP aufgenommen.
Die FPÖ hat eines ihrer wichtigsten Wahlversprechen gebrochen: Es wird keine Volksabstimmung über CETA und TTIP geben. FPÖ-Chef Heinz Christian Strache hat diese groß angekündigt, Norbert Hofer hat sich dafür stark gemacht, aber im Regierungsprogramm heißt es jetzt: Schwarz-Blau wird dem Handelsabkommen CETA bedingungslos zustimmen. Und auch ähnliche Handelsabkommen will die FPÖ in Zukunft unterstützen, sagt das Regierungsprogramm.
In der heutigen Nationalratssitzung sieht die Liste Pilz eine "Nagelprobe" für die neue ÖVP-FPÖ-Regierung. Listengründer Pilz soll nach den Feiertagen im Jänner in die Öffentlichkeit zurückkehren.
Reibungslos, feierlich und unaufgeregt fand die Angelobung des neuen Regierungsteams in der Wiener Hofburg statt. Damit ist der Weg frei für die neue ÖVP-FPÖ-Regierung Österreichs.
Noch vor der offiziellen Angelobung der türkis-blauen Regierung am Montag haben sich der künftige Bundeskanzler Sebastian Kurz und sein Vize Heinz-Christian Strache am Sonntag mit "Krone"-Redakteur Claus Pándi im Palais Epstein in Wien zum krone.tv-Interview getroffen. Im Mittelpunkt des Gesprächs stand natürlich das neue Regierungsprogramm, das vor allem eines in Österreich bewirken soll: Veränderung.
Das am Samstag präsentierte Regierungsprogramm von ÖVP und FPÖ ist bereits am Abend von SPÖ, NEOS und Liste Pilz kritisiert worden. Die SPÖ will in der Oppositionsrolle die "größten Unsinnigkeiten" verhindern. Die Pläne der ÖVP-FPÖ-Regierung insbesondere im Umweltbereich kamen auch bei den Nichtregierungsorganisationen Greenpeace, WWF und Global 2000 nicht gut an.
Die Organisation will überprüfen, welche Schritte die Koalition im Umwelt- und Klimabereich setzt. Die Ergebnisse werden nach 100 Tagen veröffentlicht.
Die SPÖ sieht nur eine "Sammlung von Versprechungen und Überschriften". Umweltorganisationen kritisieren die Haltung zu CETA und Umweltrecht. Die Neos fordern ein öffentliches Hearing für die Minister. Die Liste Pilz kritisiert den Ruck nach rechts
ÖVP und FPÖ haben sich in ihren Koalitionsverhandlungen beim Thema Europapolitik geeinigt: keine Volksabstimmung über den EU-Austritt. Bisher weigert sich die ÖVP konsequent, eine von der FPÖ geforderte CETA-Volksbefragung möglich zu machen.
