Avis 139 Questions éthiques relatives aux situations de fin de vie : autonomie et solidarité
Plusieurs débats traversent de manière récurrente la société à propos de la fin de vie. Citoyens, parlementaires, associations, soignants, intellectuels… discutent de la possibilité, ou non, d’une évolution du droit, les lois actuelles ne prévoyant pas la délivrance d’une aide active à mourir. Si le CCNE a examiné à plusieurs reprises les questions éthiques relatives à la fin de vie, il a souhaité à la lumière des évolutions législatives, médicales et sociétales des dernières années, approfondir certains enjeux éthiques du débat. C’est l’objet de son Avis 139 « Questions éthiques relatives aux situations de fin de vie : autonomie et solidarité » dans lequel Il émet plusieurs propositions.
Initié par le président de la République François Hollande le 17 juillet 2012, la concertation nationale autour des questions liées à la fin de vie a donné lieu à de nombreux échanges avant de finalement s’achever.
