CORE (COnnecting REpositories) aims to facilitate free access to scholarly publications distributed across many systems. As of today, CORE gives you access to millions of scholarly articles aggregated from many Open Access repositories.
Das zentrale Übersichts- und Suchportal des digitalen österreichischen Kulturerbes Umgang mit (digitalem) kulturellem Erbe ist von zentraler Bedeutung für zukünftige Strategien in der Informationsgesellschaft. Als ein wichtiger Punkt gilt dabei der übergreifende Zugang zu den digitalisierten Beständen von Museen, Bibliotheken und Archiven.Das inhaltliche Ziel des sektionsübergreifenden Projekts Kulturpool des Bundesministeriums für Unterricht, Kunst und Kultur und des Bundesministeriums für Wissenschaft und Forschung ist es, ein zentrales Übersichts- und Such-Portal digitalisierter Objekte und Kataloge aller österreichischen Kulturinstitutionen zur Verfügung zu stellen. Strategisches Ziel des BMUKK ist dabei die engere Verknüpfung zwischen Kultur und Bildung sowie - der „Future Learning" Initiative folgend -das österreichische Kulturerbe mit neuen Technologien der breiten Bevölkerung zugänglich zu machen.

Established in 2003, e-LIS is an internationaldigital repository for Library and Information Science (LIS). It has grown to include a team of volunteer editors and support for 22 languages. The development of an international LIS network has been stimulated by the extension of the Open Access concept to LIS works and facilitated by the dissemination of material within the LIS community. These are some of the reasons for the success of e-LIS.
In a few years, e-LIS has been established as the largest international open repository in the field of library and information science.
The aim of ROAR is to promote the development of open access by providing timely information about the growth and status of repositories throughout the world. Open access to research maximises research access and thereby also research impact, making research more productive and effective
