The UK Office of National Statistics' 'Timezone' time-series dataset covers every aspect of British economic life. As a collection of tens of thousands of individual measurements - of inflation, employment, trade, retail, stocks, currency and commodity prices, and just about anything else imaginable - it's breathtakingly broad. If you want to understand the British economy, all the data you need is here.
The Authority's statutory objective is to promote and safeguard the production and publication of official statistics that serve the public good. It is also required to promote and safeguard the quality and comprehensiveness of official statistics, and ensure good practice in relation to official statistics.
Thousands of UK websites have been collected since 2004 and the Archive is growing fast. Here you can see how sites have changed over time, locate information no longer available on the live Web and observe the unfolding history of a spectrum of UK activities represented online. Sites that no longer exist elsewhere are found here and those yet to be archived can be saved for the future by nominating them. The Archive contains sites that reflect the rich diversity of lives and interests throughout the UK. Search is by Title of Website, Full Text or URL, or browse by Subject, Special Collection or Alphabetical List.
