Deutschland trägt an dem Leid der Griechen eine Mitschuld. Statt zu helfen, denken wir an unseren eigenen Vorteil. Dabei ist es höchste Zeit, endlich Erbarmen mit Griechenland zu zeigen!
Bei ihrem Treffen in Lindau haben die Wirtschafts-Nobelpreisträger Kanzlerin Angela Merkel heftig kritisiert. Die von ihr verordnete Sparpolitik habe weitreichende Folgen für die Euro-Zone.
Merkelantismus (lat. furiosa Teutonicorum insania) ist nicht die Legastheniker-Schreibweise von Merkantilismus. Dennoch besteht erstaunliche Geistesverwandschaft zwischen dem Merkantilismus, einer Wirtschaftsauffassung, die seit dem 18. Jahrhundert als gescheitert gilt, und dem Merkelantismus, einer zeitgenössischen deutschen wirtschaftspolitischen Doktrin.
Der Finanzspekulant George Soros hat in Davos gesagt, dass jene die Krise aufrecht erhalten, die davon profitieren. Dabei sieht er die Bundesrepublik an erster Stelle.
Die spanische linksliberale Tageszeitung “El País” veröffentlichte heute auf ihrer Webseite einen Kommentar des Ökonomie-Professors Juan Torres López von der Universität Sevilla. Doch schon bald darauf war der Artikel wieder verschwunden. Es hatte dutzendweise Proteste aus Deutschland gehagelt, wie man denn um Himmels Willen Merkel und Hitler vergleichen könne. Daraufhin nahm der Verlag den Artikel vom Netz wegen “Behauptungen, welche die Zeitung für unangebracht hält”. Wir sind dagegen der Meinung, dieser Text sei problemlos zu veröffentlichen und halten die Entscheidung des Verlags schlicht für feige und falsch. Deswegen lesen Sie und urteilen Sie jetzt einfach selbst.
(von Robert Misik) Und deshalb ist das Ziel der kompetitiven Steigerung von „Wettbewerbsfähigkeit“ so hegemonial geworden, obwohl es, in europäische „Pakte für Wettbewerbsfähigkeit“ übersetzt, nichts anderes zur Folge hat als die Zerstörung Europas selbst.
Die Zypern-Krise hat die letzten Zweifel beseitigt: Europa wird von Berlin regiert. Dumm bloss, dass die Deutschen diese Führungsrolle gar nicht wollen – und dass sie die falsche Wirtschaftspolitik verfolgen.
