Competencias básicas para sobrevivir en el siglo XXI: seleccionar información relevante, colaborar con otros, comunicarse de manera versátil, participar en la vida pública. Reflexiones, ideas, actividades, materiales y recursos para la interacción cara a cara y con Internet con los alumnos.
La incorporación de las TIC en la educación ha abierto grandes posibilidades para
mejorar los procesos de enseñanza y de aprendizaje. Sin embargo, no es suficiente
con dotar a las escuelas de computadores. Hace falta abordar, al mismo tiempo,
un cambio en la organización de las escuelas y en las competencias digitales de
los profesores. También es necesario avanzar en la incorporación de las nuevas
tecnologías en los entornos familiares para reducir la brecha digital. Este libro ofrece
distintas reflexiones y puntos de vista sobre el papel que desempeñan las nuevas
tecnologías, y profundiza en el debate sobre el sentido educativo de las TIC.
Este artículo pretende considerar la necesaria innovación curricular que, con motivo de la integración TIC, se debe presentar en los centros educativos y reflexiona sobre el grado optimizador de su implantación y sus consecuencias más directas.
El artículo presenta los resultados de la primera de tres fases de un proyecto de investigación que pretendió fortalecer las estrategias de integración de Tecnologías de Información y Comunicaciones (TIC) en la educación superior. El objetivo de esta fase fue identificar los usos que hacen de las TIC los profesores de dos universidades colombianas. Para este fin se aplicó una encuesta a 117 profesores y se realizaron 16 entrevistas semiestructuradas. Los hallazgos sugieren que los profesores usan las TIC de casi un centenar de formas diferentes, la mayoría de ellas centradas en el apoyo a las labores administrativas o logísticas que están asociadas a sus cursos. Los resultados sugieren que no se está aprovechando el potencial que ofrecen las TIC en el mejoramiento de los ambientes de aprendizaje.
El articulo muestra los resultados de un estudio sobre las experiencias significativas que caracterizan el uso de las TIC en el contexto escolar. Como objetivo general se plantea identificar el nivel del uso pedagógico de las TIC en los proyectos de aula significativos presentados por los docentes, en el marco del programa Computadores para Educar y su estrategia de formación y acceso para la apropiación pedagógica de las TIC, para el logro de este propósito, se elaboró una escala que muestra los diferentes usos y niveles pedagógicos de las TIC.
El creciente desarrollo de las tecnologías de la información y el conocimiento está
ejerciendo unos efectos de cambio profundo en todos los ámbitos de la sociedad. Ante tal realidad, es necesario proporcionar un conjunto de herramientas y despertar una serie de habilidades en los estudiantes universitarios, que les permita convertirse en ciudadanos competentes en la sociedad actual. La competencia digital se está incorporando en los currículos universitarios, en el caso de la Universitat d’Andorra, a través de las competencias propias de la Universidad, que certificaran a los estudiantes como titulados de la institución.
Los recursos de todo tipo dedicados a la evaluación de la alfabetización informacional (ALFIN) han ido aumentando de forma sostenida a lo largo de la última década. Podemos agradecer este incremento a tres contribuciones principales: (1) las agencias regionales de acreditación de la educación superior han dado mucha más importancia a la evaluación de resultados en el aprendizaje de los alumnos; (2) las Normas sobre Competencias en Alfa-betización en Información para la Educación Superior han sido adoptadas y aplicadas profusamente y han dado pie a muchas iniciativas y colaboraciones locales; y (3) las divi-siones de la ALA, como la ACRL y la AASL, junto con la Association of Research Libra-ries (ARL), han convertido la ALFIN y la evaluación de resultados en una prioridad1. En consecuencia, varias secciones y comités de la ALA han llevado a cabo varios proyectos de ALFIN, siendo uno de los más conocidos el Programa de Inmersión del Institute for Information Literacy de la ACRL2.
En este artículo se presenta un análisis estructurado del proceso que lleva a cabo la Universidad de Antioquia en su paso del enfoque tradicional de la Formación de Usuarios y de la Alfabetización Digital, al de la filosofía y práctica de la Alfabetización Informacional –ALFIN, como medio para el aprendizaje permanente y la generación de conocimientos.
