From Tuesday 3 July, 2018 people across Telford and Wrekin and Shropshire who need urgent GP out-of-hours medical help or advice will need to call 111. This is because the current Shropdoc telephone number will no longer be in use from that date.
The 111 service will replace the current out-of-hours telephone service provided by Shropdoc in line with national policy to provide a consistent, integrated approach to urgent care; but any patients that need to see a clinician out-of-hours will still be seen by a local GP.
The transition to adulthood is a major developmental milestone; a time of self-discovery and increased independence. For young adults (YA) with intellectual disabilities (ID), however, this period is especially challenging. The increased incidence of mental health disorders in this population, such as depression and anxiety, make this transition even more difficult, increasing caregiver burden at a time when the young adult would traditionally be gaining independence. While the findings are largely reassuring for women who want to continue to run while pregnant, it shouldn't be concluded that any level of vigorous or strenuous exercise is safe during pregnancy. Regular exercise is important during pregnancy, but you should be guided by your prior level of fitness and what feels comfortable.
Guidelines currently recommend that continuing with a moderate level of exercise – 30 mins daily, for example – is safe for pregnant women. High-impact sports are not usually recommended, and it's best to consult your midwife or GP if you're considering an intensive running programme.

It is generally believed that after the first episode of schizophrenia, the risk of relapse decreases with time in patients who are stabilized. Many treatment guidelines recommend that after stabilization, antipsychotic treatment should be continued for 1–5 years, and longer exposure should be avoided if possible. However, there is no published evidence to substantiate this view.
