Young people who have been treated for OCD have featured in a film designed to provide reassurance for parents whose children have the debilitating condition.
The film, called OCD is not me, was made in partnership with OCD Action, and South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust.
It features patients from across the UK who have been diagnosed with OCD and received treatment for it in the hope it will provide support for other children and their families.
Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust’s (SHFT) Health Visiting Service has launched ChatHealth 0-5, a text messaging service to support parents, carers and families of under 5’s in Hampshire. The aim is to improve access to health information and support for families caring for babies and young children.

This study examined how key policymakers interpret and implement the principle of equivalence in English prisons. Pioneering research over the past two decades has shown that memories are far more malleable than we once thought, thereby highlighting the potential for new clinical avenues for treatment of psychopathology. We first briefly review the historical foundation of memory reconsolidation—a concept that refers to hypothetical processes that occur when a memory is retrieved and restored. Then, we provide an overview of the basic research on memory reconsolidation that has been done with humans and other animals, focusing on models of fear, anxiety-related disorders, and addiction, from the perspective that they all involve disorders of memory.
