Forschung ist meist Teamarbeit, Publikationen sind entscheidend für die Uni-Karriere. Wen soll man als Aufsatz-Autor nennen, und vor allem: an welcher Position? Oft kommt es zum Streit, wenn Platzhirsche sich als Ehrenautoren feiern lassen - während Mitarbeiter rackern und leer ausgehen.
Scheinbar unaufhaltsam wächst weltweit die Zahl aufgedeckter Plagiate. Ihre Dunkelziffer dürfte ein Vielfaches davon betragen. Doch auch der philologische Autorenbegriff des Urheberrechts ist im Zeitalter von "Big Science" in Verruf geraten – nicht zuletzt aufgrund grassierender unethischer Autorenschaften (inflationäre Ehrenautorenschaften, Ghost Writings). Die Unzufriedenheit vor allem unter den jüngeren, statusniedrigeren WissenschaftlerInnen wächst: So setzen etliche medizinische Journale mittlerweile lieber auf den präziseren Begriff der "Kontribuentenschaft", Großprojekte der Hochenergiephysiker zur Gänze auf statutarisch geregelte kollektive Autorenschaften. Welche institutionellen Leitbilder & organisatorischen Kontexte fördern die Bereitschaft zu unethischen Praktiken beim Publizieren (genauer: bei der Zurechnung wissenschaftlicher Leistungen)? Welche Gegenmaßnahmen wären möglich?
