A set of twelve principles that represent the cornerstones of the future scholarly communication system. They are designed to provide a coherent frame of reference for the debate on how to improve the current system. With this document, we are hoping to inspire a widespread discussion towards a shared vision for scholarly communication in the 21st century.

Publish or Perish is a software program that retrieves and analyzes academic citations. It uses a variety of data sources (incl. Google Scholar and Microsoft Academic Search) to obtain the raw citations, then analyzes these and presents the following metrics:

typokurz enthält auf knapp 15 Seiten (einschließlich Titelseite, Inhalts-, Literaturverzeichnis und Stichwortregister) einige typografische Regeln – im Wesentlichen die Mikrotypografie betreffende Regeln –, die ich für wichtig und leicht umsetzbar halte. Die Regeln in typokurz helfen, typografische Fehler zu vermeiden, die mir beim Lesen verschiedenster Texte am häufigsten aufgefallen sind. Dazu gehören Briefe, Bewerbungen, Vorlesungsskripte, Referate, Hausarbeiten, Diplomarbeiten, aber auch wissenschaftliche Artikel für Journals, die noch nicht vom Verlag/Satzbüro/Lektor korrigiert wurden.
