Das Verschwinden der Bildung in der E-Learning-Diskussion

.

Abstract

This article aims to initiate a discussion about the role of e-learning in education and about the risks of the actual e-learning trend to forfeit these educational chances. First of all, the article analyses the relation between learning on the one hand and instruction on the other hand and discusses a question which is virulent in many institutions of education: Why is instruction such a difficult undertaking? A structural genetic conception of knowledge is introduced; this knowledge conception is compatible with educational aspects and offers the possibility to integrate modern e-learning issues, i.e. reusable learning objects, into the discussion. Secondly, the article analyses what exactly is done and what is necessary in designing e-learning-environments. Clear and simple differentiations seem to be important because they show that the design of e-learning can be learned – provided that teachers are aware of their responsibility.
