In contrast, cells expressing CHIR-AB1 and FcepsilonRIgamma are triggered to release intracellular calcium upon stimulation with heat-aggregated IgY. CHIR-AB1 thus represents a primordial Fc receptor that combines features of different mammalian counterparts.
