Abstract

The Atlanta Chapter is nominated for its performance for the Chapter Year July 1985-June 1986 under the Chairmanship of Dr. Roger P. Webb. The 85-86 program year has been ambitious and active for the Atlanta Chapter of the Power Engineering Society. A budget of over $11,000, the largest ever for the Chapter, is an indication of the commitment to support power engineering in the Atlanta area. This effort has been distributed to support several goals, the major items being: (1) providing the membership with regular monthly technical meetings, (2) encouraging membership growth and development, (3) supporting power engineering students through scholarships and technical conference attendance, (4) promoting power engineering at the high school level through personal and audio/visual presentations, and (5) organizing tutorials on topics of relevance to the membership.
