An alternative translation of Esther 1.6-7 in the Septuagint

.
The Bible Translator, 3 (62): 165--171 (2011)

Abstract

Esther 1.6-7 in the Septuagint (LXX) is hard to translate because the syntax is complex and some of the lexemes are rare. Previous translations in English of this text include NETS, NRSV, NEB, REB, GNB, and Brenton. Tis paper shows the meaning of the Greek text may be clarified by a detailed analysis of the text at the word and clausal levels. Source: Author
