Abstract
The article explores ways on how to promote information literacy standards and how these standards improve school perceptions toward libraries. It is important for library associations to organize meetings aimed at the discussion over the importance of information literacy. It is also recommended to develop partnerships with other general curriculum professional organizations in order emphasize the direct effects of good information literacy to the success of education in other curriculum areas.
