DSpace is a digital service that collects, preserves, and distributes digital material. Repositories are important tools for preserving an organization's legacy; they facilitate digital preservation and scholarly communication.
In today's fast-paced world, where information travels at the speed of light, the traditional model of scholarly publishing has faced criticism for being slow and cumbersome. However, as scientific and technological advancements continue to accelerate, the need for rapid dissemination of research findings has become more apparent than ever. This has given rise to the concept of rapid publication, a dynamic and agile approach to knowledge sharing. In this blog post, we will explore what rapid publication entails, its benefits, and its impact on the scientific community.
PubMed Central® (PMC) is a free full-text archive of biomedical and life sciences journal literature at the U.S. National Institutes of Health's National Library of Medicine (NIH/NLM)
The small size of institutes and publication clusters is a problem when determining citation indices. To improve the citation indexing of small sets of publications (less than 50 or 100 publications), a method is proposed. In addition, a method for error calculation is given for large sets of publications. Here, the classical methods of citation indexing remain valid.
Built and developed by researchers, to ensure that everyone can join in Open Science.
The OpenAIRE project, in the vanguard of the open access and open data movements in Europe was commissioned by the EC to support their nascent Open Data policy by providing a catch-all repository for EC funded research. CERN, an OpenAIRE partner and pioneer in open source, open access and open data, provided this capability and Zenodo was launched in May 2013.
In support of its research programme CERN has developed tools for Big Data management and extended Digital Library capabilities for Open Data. Through Zenodo these Big Science tools could be effectively shared with the long-tail of research.
The Bulletin of the International Scientific Surgical Association ISSN 1818-0698 (Print), ISSN 2078-8053 (Online) aims at quick publication of original research in all branches of surgery.
The Bulletin of Innovative Technologies (BIT) is an international multidisciplinary peer-reviewed scientific publication (ISSN 2520-2839), which provides an opportunity to publish scientific achievements on urgent problems of the humanities and natural sciences to scientists, post-graduate students, doctoral candidates, university professors, students from different countries. The electronic scientific and practical journal "Bulletin of Innovative Technologies" is a network mass media tool.
The OAPEN Library contains freely accessible academic books, mainly in the area of humanities and social sciences. OAPEN works with publishers to build a quality controlled collection of open access books, and provides services for publishers, libraries and research funders in the areas of deposit, quality assurance, dissemination, and digital preservation.
