Abeille Forms Designer is a GUI builder for Java applications. Developers and designers can create complex, professional forms in minutes. Designers can drag and drop components onto a WYSIWYG editor. Full support for undo/redo and copy/paste is provided. Components can be easily customized by adding images or modifying their properties. Advanced fill effects are supported such as textures and gradients.
Abeille has intuitive layout rules and is based on the JGoodies FormLayout system (https://forms.dev.java.net). The FormLayout is a popular, open source layout manager for Java and is used by thousands of developers worldwide. Abeille comes with all the required software.
Abeille stores forms in binary files which can be loaded by your application and added to any Swing container. While the designer is licensed under the LGPL, the forms runtime has a BSD license. This allows forms created by the designer to be used freely in commercial applications.

A standards-based, data-driven Eclipse plug-in that generates functional forms with XForms mark-up embedded within an XHTML document from a XML data instance or a WSDL document.
Buoy is a library for creating user interfaces in Java programs. It is built on top of Swing, but provides a completely new set of classes to represent graphical components. It offers many advantages over using Swing directly, including:
* A much simpler, cleaner, and more consistent API
* A better mechanism for laying out interface components
* A far more powerful event handling mechanism, which is based on dynamic binding of arbitrary methods as event listeners
* Built in support for serializing user interfaces as XML, then reconstructing them again
Other important features of Buoy include:
* It forms a "transparent wrapper" around Swing. It hides the complexity of Swing when you don't want to deal with it, but doesn't get in your way when you actually need that complexity.
* It is very small and efficient. The entire compiled library is only 200 K.
* It is written entirely in Java, and works on any JVM that is compatible with J2SE 1.4 or later.
* All source code is in the public domain.
Eclipse Icon Archive Tool
The Eclipse Icon Archive Tool allows an Eclipse user to browse and export icons from the Eclipse Project. Download the plug-in and place it into the Eclipse plug-in directory. The plug-in and documentation is available on the download page.
The Doolin framework allows the rapid development of Swing applications. It uses the Spring framework as a support for its configuration and extensibility.
E-Gantt Library
E-Gantt is a Gantt Chart library for Java Swing / Scheduling Visualization tool. The library is typically used for editing and visualizing complicated work schedules.
The library E-Gantt has been succesfully integrated in many open source projects and large commercial projects with-in the following industries:
* Scheduling Research
* Medical Research
* US Military Defense Projects
* Network Administration tools
The library is developed as a pure java component which integrates well with the components with-in swing, the component itself is mostly used with-in a JTable with the various flavours possible.
The Event Bus is a single-process publish/subscribe event routing library, with Swing extensions. The EventBus is fully-functional, with very good API documentation and test coverage (80+%). It has been deployed in many production environments, including financial, engineering and scientific applications.
The Event Bus is easy to use and yet very powerful. It requires no setup and the API is small and clear. The EventBus solves many problems, and promotes loose coupling, particularly with Swing applications.
[fleXive] is a JavaEE 5 open source (LGPL 2.1 or higher) framework for the development of complex and evolving (web-)applications. It speeds up development by easing many tedious and repetitive programming tasks and helping to keep your application(s) flexible during the development-cycle and in production.
Based on the latest industry-standards like EJB 3, JSF, etc. [fleXive] should be your choice for building up your own new application.
Foxtrot is an easy and powerful API to use threads with the JavaTM Foundation Classes (JFC/Swing).
The Foxtrot API are based on a new concept, the Synchronous Model, that allow you to easily integrate in your Swing code time-consuming operations without incurring in "GUI-freeze" problem, typical of Swing applications.
While other solutions have been developed to solve this problem, being the SwingWorker (see also here for an update) the most known, they are all based on the Asynchronous Model which, for non-trivial Swing applications, carries several problems such as code asymmetry, bad code readability and difficult exception handling.
The Foxtrot API cleanly solves the problems that solutions based on the Asynchronous Model have, and it's simpler to use.
Your Swing code will immediately benefit of:
* code symmetry and readability
* easy exception handling
* improved mantainability
Exploratory visualization based on multiple coordinated views. Improvise has been used to explore election results, particle trajectories, network loads, music collections, the chemical elements, and even the dynamic coordination structure of its own vis
