Der unter dem Namen Trans-Pazifisches Partnerschaftsabkommen (TPP) bekannte Deal ist ein Pakt, den die USA mit 8 weiteren Ländern, darunter Australien, Malaysia und Vietnam, verhandelt. Er wird als "Freihandelsabkommen" verkauft; ein Großteil ist zum Schutz von Investoren vor gesetzgeberischer Tätigkeit durch Regierungen geschrieben, selbst wenn diese Gesetze im Interesse der Allgemeinheit sind.
