This paper discusses the real time
fault location in power substation with acoustic
method. Four-microphone system and multi-DSP analyzing
system were used for the fault location and the
real time analysis, respectively. The fault location tests
were performed, and the good fault location was obtained
in case of comparatively long distance setting of
microphones.
