Abstract
The pollution build up process on distribution
line insulators as well as its technical effects
under diverse meteorological conditions and maintenance
policies is simulated through a computer
aided design model.
The model can be used to select among design
and maintenance alternatives since it includes not
only the technical features of the alternatives,
but also their economical considerations.
The model was applied to a distribution network
of a zone of Mexico City and the results are
presented and compared for different alternatives.
