analysis and visualization of social networks
in a long-term research project, the visone project team is developing models and algorithms to integrate and advance the analysis and visualization of social networks.
A pre-relational databases datamodel. "Preceeded" by the relational model since the flexibility of this makes it hard to work with. Now re-invented in RDF :)

WiKID is a two-factor authentication system. It consists of: a PIN, stored in the user's head; a small, lightweight client that encapsulates the private/public keys; and a server that stores the public keys of the client's and the user's PIN. When the use
“Are you my friend? Yes or no?” This question, while fundamentally odd, is a key component of social network sites. Participants must select who on the system they deem to be ‘Friends.’ Their choice is publicly displayed for all to see and becomes

CiteSpace analyzes relationships among authors, publications, and citations. Using a "social networking analysis" sort of approach, visual mapping is provided to enable researchers to find relevant pubs, and to enable pharmaceutical and biotech firms to
'NTLM Authorization Proxy Server' (APS) is a proxy software that allows you to authenticate via an MS Proxy Server using the proprietary NTLM protocol. Since version 0.9.5 APS has an ability to behave as a standalone proxy server and authenticate http clients at web servers using NTLM method. It can change arbitrary values in your client's request header so that those requests will look like they were created by MS IE. It is written in Python v1.5.2 language.
"This study surveyed the folksonomy as a complex network. The result indicates that the network, which is composed of the tags from the folksonomy, displays both properties of small world and scale-free."
Earth allows you to find files across a large network of machines and track disk usage in real time. It consists of a daemon that indexes filesystems in real time and reports all the changes back to a central database. This can then be queried through a simple, yet powerful, web interface. Think of it like Spotlight or Beagle but operating system independent with a central database for multiple machines with a web application that allows novel ways of exploring your data.
