Das Kabinett in Berlin hat den Gesetzentwurf zur Urheberrechtsnovelle durchgewunken. Damit soll die umstrittene Richtlinie der EU zum Urheberrecht im Netz bis Juni zu deutschem Recht werden. Am Mittwoch berät der Rechtsausschuss mit diversen Sachverständigen aus den Lagern der Kritiker wie auch der Befürworter den Gesetzentwurf der Bundesregierung.
Der Verband Deutscher Zeitschriftenverleger hat die Kampagne „Verteidige deine Presse“ gestartet, um Behauptungen Googles im Kampf gegen das geplante neue Leistungsschutzrecht zu widerlegen. Ein Gutachten soll die Argumente stützen.
Unter dem Namen „Verteidige dein Netz“ hat Google vor einigen Wochen eine große Kampagne gegen das geplante Leistungsschutzrecht für Zeitungs- und Zeitschriften-Verlage begonnen.
Beispielsweise bei Mikrobloggingdiensten wie Twitter sieht die Bundesregierung die Gerichte am Zug, ob das Leistungsschutzrecht für Presseverlage bei Tweets mit Links anzuwenden ist oder das Zitatrecht gilt.
