Trotz massiver Werbung von Industrieverbänden und Politik halten nur ein Drittel der BundesbürgerInnen das geplante Freihandelsabkommen TTIP für „eine gute Sache für Deutschland“, 46 Prozent finden es schlecht. Das geht aus einer repräsentativen Emnid-Umfrage hervor, die die TTIP-kritische Organisation Campact in Auftrag gegeben hat.
Während es in Paris um Weltrettung geht, wird in Genf Tisa verhandelt. Das Freihandelsabkommen könnte den Klimaschutz torpedieren.
In Paris sieht es derzeit nicht gut aus für die Kohle-, Öl- und Gaskonzerne: Immer mehr Investoren ziehen sich zurück, und ein neues Klimaabkommen könnte die Aussichten der Branche weiter verschlechtern.
Nicht jede Flucht hat ökonomische Gründe – aber viele Menschen verlassen ihr Land, weil sie keine Perspektive sehen. Die Flüchtlingskrise und das Freihandelsabkommen TTIP scheinen nichts miteinander zu tun zu haben. Aber das ist nur der erste Blick. Der Freihandel lässt die Schwellen- und Entwicklungsländer verarmen und kostet manchmal auch Leben.
