Schöllhorn, Katharina. - Bachelorarbeit HdM. - Normdaten sind nicht nur bibliothekarische Arbeitsmittel, sie bilden auch die Grundlage für unterschiedliche Sucheinstiege in Onlinekatalogen. Mit dieser Rolle beschäftigt sich die vorliegende Arbeit. Im Einführungsteil werden einige Rahmenbedingungen zu Onlinekatalogen und Normdateien erläutert. Die anschließend betrachteten Benutzeranalysen geben nicht nur Einblick in das Rechercheverhalten mit Normdaten, sondern zeigen auch typische Fehlerquellen auf. Im Anschluss daran werden Anwendungsbeispiele vorgestellt, um zu illustrieren, wie sich der Zugang und die Recherche mit Normdaten im Onlinekatalog für Nutzer zurzeit gestalten. Zuletzt werden verschiedene Möglichkeiten und Anwendungen betrachtet, die neue Entwicklungschancen für Normdaten in Onlinekatalogen liefern.
Kaintz, Kathy. - Bachelorarbeit HdM. - In dieser Arbeit werden Internetangebote mit digital dargebotenen mittelalterlichen Handschriften in Bezug auf ihre Darstellung und Funktionalitäten überprüft. Dazu wurden fünf Projekte aus vier verschiedenen Ländern Europas ausgewählt. Deutschland wird repräsentiert durch die Universitätsbibliothek Heidelberg und die Bayerische Staatsbibliothek, Österreich durch die Universitätsbibliothek Graz, die Schweiz durch die Stiftsbibliothek St. Gallen und England durch die Oxford University Libraries. Dabei werden die einzelnen Projekte vorgestellt, das Angebot analysiert und Kooperationen mit unterschiedlichen Institutionen erläutert. Abschließend findet ein Vergleich der Präsentationen statt.
Unter verkleideter Literatur sind solche Druckschriften zu verstehen, die auf ihren Titelblät-tern über den Inhalt des Druckes, über die Verfasserschaft und/oder über die Umstände des Erscheinens irreführende Angaben machen und damit die wahren Sachverhalte „verkleiden“. Gewöhnlich wird auch der Fall, dass gar keine Angaben gemacht und der wahre Sachverhalt verschwiegen wird, zur verkleideten Literatur gerechnet.

Diese Arbeit widmet sich dem Komplex der Personenrecherche in Bibliotheken und Informationseinrichtungen unabhängig von ihrem Typus. Verschiedene Fragestellungen, die an die Auskunftsbibliothekarin herangetragen werden, werden dabei vorgestellt. Auf die Besonderheit der biographischen Informationen im gesellschaftlichen Kontext sowie auf die Bedeutung dieser Daten für den Benutzer wird eingegangen. Beispielhaft ausgesuchte Problemfälle verdeutlichen die Schwierigkeiten bei der Suche nach biographischen Informationen.
Braune-Egloff, Dörte ; Scheven, Esther. - Die bibliothekarische Inhaltserschließung, deren Schwerpunkt im deutschsprachigen Raum bei der verbalen Erschließung nach RSWK liegt, wird sich unter dem Einfluss aktueller Entwicklungen in der Bibliothekswelt ändern. Der Wandel wird befördert durch Entwicklungen Neuerungen auf verschiedenen Ebenen: (1) neue Leitlinien und Prinzipien - Statement of International Cataloguing Principles (ICP); FRBR mit den Filiationen Functional Requirements for Authority Data (FRAD) und Functional Requirements for Subject Authority Data (FRSAD); (2) neues, umfassendes Regelwerk für Research Description and Access (RDA); (3) neues Datenformat (MARC 21); (4) neue Organisation der Normdaten – Gemeinsame Normdatei (GND) - auf Basis des neuen Datenformats.
