Das Collaboratory ist ein Expertenkreis, in dem Akteure aus Wissenschaft, Verbänden, Daten- und Verbraucherschutz sowie aus Internetunternehmen zusammenkommen. Es wurde von Google Deutschland initiiert, um gemeinsam an Lösungsansätzen zu gesellschaftlichen Fragen rund um das Internet zu arbeiten.
Der Think Tank "Collaboratory" des Suchmaschinenkonzerns hat "Leitlinien für ein Regelungssystem für kreative informationelle Güter" vorgestellt, die sich für eine Abkehr von der "naturrechtlichen Logik" des "geistigen Eigentums" stark machen.
Der Jurist Till Kreutzer hat im Rahmen von Googles Collaboratory-Denkfabrik einen Vorschlag für ein Regelungssystem für informationelle Güter präsentiert, mit dem die »naturrechtliche Eigentumslogik« des bisherigen Systems ad acta gelegt werden soll.
