Am Donnerstag tritt das Freihandelsabkommen CETA in weiten Teilen in Kraft. Vollständig gültig ist der Vertrag mit Kanada erst, wenn ihn alle EU-Staaten ratifiziert haben – bisher sind es fünf.
Kanada muss wegen seiner Umweltgesetze 300 Millionen zahlen. Argentinien wird zu 405 Millionen Dollar schadenersatz verurteilt, weil die missglückte Wasserprivatisierung rückgängig gemacht wurde.
